The Occupational Therapy Department designs personalized treatment plans for students to enhance their daily living skills and promote autonomy and independence. The scope of the department's work includes the following areas:

Upper Limb Function & Fine Motor Training

Enhancing students' upper limb muscle strength, bilateral hand use, and hand-eye coordination. We also focus on fine motor development to improve students' grasp-and-release skills and fine motor control.

Sensory Integration Training

Improving students' sensory processing abilities to stabilize emotions and enhance concentration.

Life Skills Training

Adapting eating utensils, clothing, and other items for students with special needs to facilitate easier self-care. We also formulate individualized toilet training plans to help students master toileting skills.

Seating Assessment, Wheelchair & Safety Chair Adaptation

Conducting regular seating assessments to ensure students maintain good posture. We provide suitable wheelchairs or safety chairs based on each student's needs and perform adaptations to ensure comfort and safety.

Work Training Group

Students learn vocational skills through practical operations, including basic social etiquette, problem-solving skills, simple packaging techniques, cleaning skills, and practical clerical skills.

Staff Training

Providing regular professional training to enhance campus safety, covering topics such as the operation of stair climbers, proper wheelchair locking methods on school buses, and wheelchair handling techniques.

Physical therapy

Our Physiotherapy Department focuses on providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities, dedicated to enhancing their physical function and quality of life. The department's primary functions include individual training tailored to specific student needs, helping them achieve greater independence in life through professional guidance and support. Additionally, we collaborate with other professionals or organizations to provide consultancy services or co-develop projects.

Gross Motor & Physical Fitness Training

Conducting specialized individual training based on students' abilities to promote muscle development and physical fitness. We help students set personal goals and regularly assess progress to enhance their confidence and motivation.

Chest Physiotherapy Service

Providing professional chest physiotherapy to promote respiratory function.

Massage Therapy

Using professional massage techniques to help alleviate muscle tension and pain, improve students' overall comfort, and provide early intervention to prevent poor posture.

Postural Management

Conducting professional assessments and interventions for static and dynamic postures to improve quality of life and prevent musculoskeletal problems and joint contractures caused by poor posture.

Group Training

Encouraging students to interact in a group setting to enhance social skills and team spirit.

School & Boarding Collaboration

Working closely with teachers and parents to formulate suitable rehabilitation plans that align with school teaching activities, integrating training into daily routines.

Rehabilitation Equipment Support

Providing necessary equipment support, including standing beds, standing frames, walking frames, and orthoses, to assist students in increasing autonomy in daily activities.

Staff Training

Imparting professional physiotherapy knowledge to school staff to enhance their ability to support students.

Speech Therapy

The Speech Therapy Department targets individual students' language abilities to help them establish effective communication modes. We design suitable augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools to ensure every student can master basic communication skills for daily application. Additionally, therapists strengthen individual students' oral motor and swallowing skills to enhance their articulation or feeding abilities. We also collaborate with other professionals or organizations to provide consultancy services or co-develop projects.
